Terms of service

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Template — have a professional review before launch. This text is a starting point for a small UK salon, not legal advice.

These terms set out how Aura Wimbledon provides its services and how this website may be used. By booking an appointment or using the site, you agree to them.

About these terms

“We”, “us” and “the salon” mean Aura Wimbledon, 12 High Street, Wimbledon Village, London SW19 5AA. “You” means the client or website visitor. These terms apply to every appointment, whether requested by phone, email, in person or through this website.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page at the time of your booking is the one that applies to it.

Appointments

Booking with us is straightforward, and a few points keep the diary fair for everyone:

  • A request is not an appointment until we have confirmed the date, time and service with you, by phone, email or message.
  • Please check your confirmation carefully and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late we may have to shorten the service or rebook you, so the next client is not kept waiting.
  • We will do our best to honour a request for a particular stylist. If they are unavailable, we will offer an alternative or a new date.

Cancellations and no-shows

Our stylists’ time is reserved for you, so we ask for notice if your plans change:

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move an appointment. You can do so by phone or email during opening hours.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged up to 50% of the booked service.
  • Missed appointments without notice may be charged in full, and we may ask for a deposit before accepting a further booking.
  • If we ever have to cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible and offer the next suitable time. Any deposit is refunded in full.

Consultations and allergy tests

Every service begins with a short consultation. Please tell your stylist about any previous chemical treatments, scalp conditions, allergies, pregnancy or medication that could affect your hair or skin.

Colour services require a skin allergy test at least 48 hours before your first colour appointment with us, and again if your health or products have changed. We cannot carry out a colour service without it.

Prices and payment

  • Prices on this website are a guide for hair of average length and density and include VAT where applicable.
  • Your stylist will confirm the final price at your consultation, before any work begins, and will discuss any extras with you first.
  • Payment is taken in the salon on the day, by card or cash. Where a deposit is requested, it is deducted from the final bill.
  • If you are not happy with a service, please tell us before you leave or within 7 days. We will always offer to put it right first.

Gift cards

Gift cards are bought in the salon, are valid for 12 months and can be used against any service with any stylist. Full terms are on our gift card page.

In the salon

We want everyone to feel comfortable. We reserve the right to refuse or end a service if a client is abusive, intoxicated or puts staff or other clients at risk.

Children are welcome for their own appointments and must be accompanied by an adult. For everyone’s safety, we cannot supervise children who are not being seen.

Our responsibility

We take care to provide every service to a professional standard. We are not responsible for results affected by information you did not share with us, by products or treatments used elsewhere, or by not following aftercare advice. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot be limited by law.

Please keep an eye on your belongings. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in the salon, including clothing marked by colour products if a protective gown was declined.

Using this website

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, email hello@example.com or ask us in the salon — we would rather talk it through than have a misunderstanding.
