Privacy policy

Aura Wimbledon is an independent hair salon at 12 High Street, Wimbledon Village, London SW19 5AA. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@example.com.

We only collect what we need:

• Contact form — your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message, so we can reply to your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
• Newsletter — your first and last name, email address and, if you choose to tell us, your gender and birthday, so we can send you news, offers and a birthday treat. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
• Analytics — only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner: the pages you visit, the buttons you click (such as “Book now”), your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Legal basis: your consent.
• Essential cookies — your cookie choice and your preferred language. They don’t identify you.

We never sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.

Essential cookies make the site work and remember your choices. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them. The full list, and how to change your mind, is in our cookie policy.

We use a few trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

• Resend — delivers contact-form and newsletter messages to our inbox.
• PostHog — website analytics, hosted in the EU, used only with your consent.
• Vercel — hosts this website and keeps short-lived server logs for security.
• Google Maps — shows our location on the home and contact pages; when the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies.

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, it does so under appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

• Contact-form enquiries: up to 12 months after our last reply.
• Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe; we delete them within 30 days after that.
• Analytics data: up to 12 months, then deleted or fully anonymised.
• Cookies: as listed in our cookie policy.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data;
• ask us to restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time — for analytics, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
